Clear Creek Amana's Barker Finishes 14th at Tipton Invite

TIPTON – Clear Creek Amana sophomore Kaylie Barker continued her strong start to the season with a 14th place finish at the Tipton Invitational on Tuesday at City Park in Tipton.

Barker finished the 5K Course in 22:12 to finish two seconds in front of Durant’s Ellie Berry.

Adrianna Katcher of Center Point-Urbana won the race in a time of 19:50 while Davenport Assumption teammates Joy Ripslinger and Julia Schumacher finished second and third to lead the Knights to the team title.

Davenport Assumption finished with 89 points while Cascade was second with 122 and Center Point-Urbana was third with 127.

Sophie Nicol and Erin Kerkhoff finished 16th and 17th both in 22:30 to lead Solon to a seventh place team finish with 187 points.

Regina placed 10th with 209 points and was led by Elizabeth Klesner who finished 33rd in a time of 23:52.
